We met online while living in Tampa! Erika was working at the University of South Florida and Andrew was stationed at MacDill AFB. When we first started talking we realized that we both went to Ohio State at the same time but had never met, despite both having spent many Thursday nights at Ugly Tuna. We were unable to actually meet for a couple months because of busy schedules, but stayed in touch throughout that time. After dating for a couple months Andrew went on a deployment and we decided we would again stay in touch while he was gone and see what would happen once he came back. Once Andrew returned we decided that we wanted to be together and see where this relationship would take us. We were able to take trips to Georgia and Hawaii before Andrew moved to San Antonio for seven months and then to Enid for his new assignment as an Instructor Pilot at Vance. Erika did a lot of traveling between Tampa and San Antonio in those 7 months and ultimately made the move to Oklahoma with Andrew in fall of 2018. Erika began working for the City of Enid in the Parks & Recreation Department and now works in Human Resources. Shortly after moving to Oklahoma, Andrew & Erika adopted Callie from the local animal shelter, then in December they were able to get Zeus, Andrew’s dog who had been staying with family, and bring him back to Oklahoma with them, completing our little family! We have enjoyed building our life together in Oklahoma and can't wait to see where this crazy journey takes us next!
